Movie Web

Based on the best-selling book, this story follows the dog Enzo as he ponders on the lessons that he has learned from his race car driving owner, Denny. Translation: There is a dog so just go ahead and get your tissues because what’s the freaking point of going to this movie and not expecting to be a mess?

09: Charlie’s Angels

Starring: Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Banks, Naomi Scott

Movie Web

Will this movie be groundbreaking? I highly doubt it. Will it be amazing? Nope. But guess what? It’s super cool women kicking ass while Elizabeth Banks and Patrick Stewart cheer them on. There aren’t many movies in the Fall that allow you to just turn off your brain, so this movie will be a nice breather sitting among all of the hopeful Oscar contenders.

A foul-mouthed version of Clue with an all-star cast. Say no more, Hollywood. Just shut up and take my money.

07: Zombieland: Double Tap

Release Date: October 11

Starring: Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jessie Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin

Coming Soon

Pretty much the only information we have about this anticipated sequel is the picture above. Despite my horrible fear of the undead, I am beyond excited for this film. The first movie really sparked a new surge of horror comedy that it doesn’t get enough credit for, and the characters were fantastic.

06: Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker

Release Date: December 20

Starring: Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver

Esquire

Why is the Skywalker rising? Is this film going to act like The Last Jedi never happened? (Hopefully). We won’t know until December, but thank you to whatever god was listening and brought JJ Abrams back. The trailer alone for this movie gives me the shivers. Or am I feeling the force?

05: Little Women

Release Date: December 25

Starring: Meryl Streep, Saorise Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh

Vanity Fair

Oh, come one, just look at the freaking cast. AND Greta Gerwig is directing. Sweet Lord.

04: IT Chapter II

With an amazing story by Stephen King and having an amazing horror director like Mike Flanagan bringing the tale to life, this is a movie that you won’t wanna miss. For fellow Stephen King fans, this fantastic sequel to The Shining will have people in awe in the theater.

Matt’s Movie Reviews

A young female Irish convict and an Aboriginal tracker go on a journey to find the officer who killed her family in order to finally enact her revenge. From the wonderful Jennifer Kent, who gave us The Babadook, this movie has the potential to be one of the great hidden gems of 2019.

01: The Joker

Release Date: October 4

Starring: Joaquin Phoenix

Celebmix

Todd Phillips is thankfully doing a completely original take on the notorious DC villain. Long gone are the days of the same old story that DC has beaten us over the head with when it comes to the Joker. Heath Ledger perfected the twisted and entertaining villain that DC fans were craving. Now it’s time for Joaquin Phoenix to give us an entirely new and exciting interpretation of this complicated character. Furthermore, this movie looks sad as hell. Like, beyond sad in a way that makes you realize this version of the character has the possibility of being relatable. And I cannot wait.
